I just came back from a one week vacation with my children, my dog and a Volvo station wagon full of stuff. I had brought my sewing machine and my latest sewing project (a crazy quilt) along for the ride, but didn't get around to sewing a thing. I did go for long walks with kids and the dog, I went swimming and we had lots of fun shopping. And I did read two books so it wasn't a total loss. Tomorrow I am kicking off preparations for Mardi Gras celebrations at our church, where a group of women and I are going to dance to a couple of Abba songs. All this plus working full-time, I am quite proud of myself. But the rainy day artisan in me is getting itchy to finish off the many projects that I have started. I will work on getting pictures of my projects posted on this blog.
